I had two locks delivered to refurbish and bring back to life by a customer based in Northwest France.
The locks were antique mortise surface mount fitting locks.
I removed the old paintwork, cleaned them all up, and repaired where needed. The handle was bent and had to be rebuilt and re-welded back together straight.
A new receiver for one of the locks had to be made as the old one was too far gone.
Two new keys were also hand-made for each lock.
All the was brass cleaned and the locks re-sprayed and lacquered before posting back to one very happy customer.
